Visual seat maps with configurable halls, time slots, and real-time seat availability.
A study hall's inventory is its seats, and the seat map is how Libron makes that inventory visible. Build a layout for each hall in your branch, define the shifts you actually run, and see at a glance which seats are free, which are booked, and who is sitting in them right now.
Seats are not simply booked or empty, they are booked per time slot. One seat can belong to a morning student and an evening student on the same day, or be reserved full-day for a single member. That distinction is what lets a 60-seat hall support well over a hundred members without ever double-booking anyone.
Without a seat map, shift allocation happens from memory. Two students get promised the same chair, a full-day member arrives to find someone in their seat, and the only way to know whether you can sell another morning subscription is to walk the floor and count.
Create one or more halls per branch and set the seat range in each. Libron renders them as a map you can read at a glance instead of a list you have to interpret.
Set up the time slots your library actually runs, whether that is morning, afternoon, and evening or some custom pattern. Mark a slot as full-day to reserve a seat across every shift.
Give a student a seat for a specific slot and move them when they upgrade or switch shifts. The map updates for every staff member on every device at once.
Presence indicators show who has checked in right now, so the map reflects the room as it actually is rather than what the booking sheet claims.
Questions
Yes, as long as they are in different time slots. Seat assignment in Libron is per slot, so a morning student and an evening student can share a seat without conflict. Marking a slot as full-day reserves that seat across every shift and blocks it from being assigned again.
Yes. You define your own shifts rather than picking from a fixed set, so the map matches whatever timings your library actually operates, including split shifts and odd hours.
It does. Live presence indicators mark students who have checked in, so you can tell an assigned-but-absent seat apart from an occupied one and follow up on members who have stopped turning up.
Yes. Each branch can have multiple halls with their own seat ranges and layouts, which is useful when you run a quiet floor and a general floor, or separate AC and non-AC sections.
